I have a Dell XPS 15 laptop. It has 3 jacks; Headphone in, Mic in and S/P DIF. I tried to connect an Intex 5.1 surround system to it. I read many articles on internet about the connection. So I tried it in following manner: I inserted the Front 2 speakers into Headphone In. Rear 2 speakers jack into Mic In Center and Subwoofer into S/P DIF jack Then I made the settings to 5.1 in the realtek control panel (Actually It was automatically converted from stereo to 5.1 as inserted all the jacks and selected the same in the POP-UP menu. Then I made a test in the control panel and everything was perfect. Every speaker was active one by one as it should be. But when I played a song only front 2 speakers were active. There was no sound from rear pair, center or subwoofer. What should I do ? __________ Extron |
