Take the Deskjet 2600 printer out of the box and remove the packing materials and surrounding polystyrene sheet.
Also, take the accessories out of the box and set them aside.
Uncoil the power cord and connect one end to the back of the printer 123.hp.com/setup 2600.
Plug the other end into a nearby outlet.
The printer turns on and remains idle.
Tear off the back of the ink cartridge and remove the tape on the top.
Also, remove the cap on the bottom of the cartridge to expose the cartridge contacts.
You need to open the access door and insert the cartridge.
Push it until you hear a ticking sound.
Now print an alignment page to make sure the setup process was successful.
