If your printer and router are both compatible with Wireless Protected Setup (WPS) this must be a choice inside the printer’s network menu.

If so, when caused, all you need to do is press the WPS pairing button to your router and the corresponding button at the printer to wirelessly join the printer to the network for hp wireless printer setup.

Now you need to select your wifi (it is able to have a special, but comparable, name, depending on your version) and the printer looks at the network your laptop is on and then uses this information to connect itself to the wireless network.
