If Lemon And Moscato Tangoed Together...They’d Become This Top-Selling Wine

If a sweet and summery lemonade walked into a bar and met a light and slightly bubbly Moscato…well, that’s exactly (sort of) what happened at Oliver Winery.

This innovative Indiana winery just released the latest edition to its Moscato lineup: Lemon Moscato. Its first production run sold out, and it’s becoming their latest hit. It also became a top-15 selling wine within one major retail chain. สล็อต pg

Released with limited distribution in the Midwest, its distribution is expected to spread to wider Midwest availability before the end of the year and national distribution in 2022. The Lemon Moscato, which retails at $12 a bottle, is part of its top-selling Vine Series® which has grown 89 percent in 2021 over 2020. The series started out as experiments, which were then given a test run in their tasting room. “They were originally released as part of our Pilot Project Series in our tasting room back in 2015,” says Julie Adams, CEO of Oliver Winery.

Cherry Moscato was released wholesale in 2018, and it nearly doubled in sales in 2019, and Blueberry Moscato, which was released in March 2019, hit the list of the top 15 Moscatos in 750 ml bottles sold in the United States within a year of its debut. The two are now among the top ten best selling Moscatos in the United States, and they are two of Oliver Winery’s biggest sellers.

“We’ve had a lot of fun experimenting with real fruit juices and extracts as components of winemaking,” says Dennis Dunham, vice president of operations and director of winemaking at Oliver. “From (our) experimental serious, we’ve seen Cherry Moscato and Blueberry Moscato go from favorites in the tasting room to wholesale successes.”

The Moscato wines begins as a blend of Muscat Canelli and Muscat Alexander grapes, and then the wines are infused with real fruit juices and real fruit extracts before a touch of bubbles rounds them out. “Always focusing on natural ingredients, we nurture relationships with the wine industry’s top growers to help source the very best, from classic, vinifera grapes to cherry and blueberry juice,” Dunham says.
