Government pays out for popular show
The Tasmanian Government is spending up to $40,000 to bring the commercial television program Masterchef to the state.
Tourism Tasmania is covering the travel and accommodation costs for up 80 production staff, judges and contestants of the program.
A number of episodes are being shot around the state this week.
